Deep in the southern Caribbean, Trinidad is home to our friends and ministry
partners who have worked with us for many years, showing us the Kingdom
of God in action. Since 1996, they have given our teammates hands-on experiences
that have stretched their abilities, their emotions and awakened their faith
to new possibilities.
You are invited to join the adventure, too!
KING'S KIDS PRIMARY SCHOOL
is expanding again. As the school population gets older, the need for more
classrooms increases. Our job this summer is to build a classroom for the
second grade class.
This really is a trip for anyone, whatever your skills. Can you use a shovel?
Do you have masonry skills? Would you like to learn? Then you are qualified
to join us! You will get to spend time seeing the country and interacting
with the locals in their homes and in the city. Know how to share your faith?
Like to do "planned acts of Christian kindness?"
We'll be doing that, too.

CAN'T MAKE IT IN JUNE?
There are many other ways to get involved with Trinidad. If you are not
available for our June construction team, perhaps one of these other upcoming
projects will interest you...
TEACHER'S EXCHANGE
Several teachers from the Green Bay area are helping to support the King's
Kids Primary School by offering their knowledge and expertise to teachers
in Trinidad. Currently, they are preparing a sponsorship program for some
of the poorer kids at the King's Kids school. They are also planning their
own trip in Spring to do teacher training and inservice. Have some skills
to share? Please join us!
BUSINESS AS MINISTRY
An emerging trend in the missions world is to train business people to use
their skills and businesses as a platform for Kingdom building. The business
doesn't just support ministry; it is ministry. Helping to define the edges
of this new trend is a group of businessmen and pastors from Wisconsin and
the Caribbean who are preparing a conference that will explore current thought
and organize city-wide initiatives to help the poor and advance the Gospel.

MEDICAL CLINICS
Tried and true and the project that started it all, our free public health
clinics tour the island and place doctors and non-medical people face-to-face
with some of the biggest needs in Trinidad. We are adding a few new offerings,
including eye-care and asthma camps, to our diabetes and blood pressure
screenings. This project is one that anyone can be a part of and is eagerly
sought by our friends on the island. Watch for this team to form for a Winter,
2010, trip.
